Full Description

The Felix Scholarship was founded to offer gifted underprivileged students from India and certain other developing countries the opportunity to further their postgraduate education by attending a university in the UK. Scholarships are offered at three universities: the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).

A grant for living costs (around £17,000+ per year)
One return flight from India to the UK

Eligibility Criteria

Indian national, ordinarily resident in India
Under 30 years of age
Hold a first-class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university
Must demonstrate financial need
Not hold a degree from a university outside of India

Felix Scholarship specific questionnaire/application (including financial background)
Academic transcripts

Application Process

  1. Apply for an eligible graduate course at Oxford, Reading, or SOAS by the January deadline
  2. Indicate your intent to apply for the Felix Scholarship in the funding section
  3. Complete the separate Felix Scholarship questionnaire when prompted by the university
  4. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in India (typically in Mumbai or Delhi)

Important Information

The scholarship expects scholars to return to India upon completion of their studies to contribute to their home country.
