Full Description

The PMSSS is a flagship initiative by the Government of India aimed at building capacities of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. It funds students to pursue general, professional, and medical undergraduate degrees in approved colleges across India, covering both academic fees and a generous maintenance allowance for hostel and living expenses.

Academic fee up to ₹30,000 for General, ₹1.25 Lakh for Professional, and ₹3 Lakh for Medical degrees

Maintenance allowance of ₹1 Lakh per annum (disbursed in installments)

Admission facilitated through AICTE counseling to top institutions outside J&K/Ladakh

Eligibility Criteria

✓
Domicile of UTs of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh
✓
Passed Class 12 from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K/Ladakh
✓
Family income must be less than ₹8 Lakhs per annum

Aadhaar Card (or equivalent ID) linked to a bank account

Application Process

  1. Register on the AICTE PMSSS portal when applications open
  2. Submit the online form and upload required documents
  3. Complete document verification at designated facilitation centers
  4. Participate in choice filling and AICTE centralized counseling

Important Information

•Only students taking admission through the AICTE counseling process are eligible.
•Admission to institutions within J&K or Ladakh does not qualify for this scholarship.
