The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships Scheme offers high-achieving international students up to $40,000 to support their studies at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is strictly merit-based and aims to attract the brightest minds globally to study in Australia’s oldest university.

Four tiers of funding available based on academic ranking:

$40,000 AUD payable for one year in two equal installments

✓

$20,000 AUD payable for one semester

✓

$10,000 AUD or $5,000 AUD payable for one semester

Eligibility Criteria

✓

Must be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen)

✓

Must have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or master’s by coursework at the University of Sydney

✓

Receive an unconditional offer of admission
