The University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving international students from eligible countries who demonstrate excellent academic performance. The scholarship is applied to the student’s tuition fees, making high-quality New Zealand education more accessible.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be applying to enroll full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate taught program

Must not currently be enrolled at the University of Waikato

Must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of place

Must demonstrate academic excellence (typically B+ average or equivalent)
